1. The Basic Principles of
Making Money with Your Digital Assets.
This beginning workshop offers both underlying
methods and insights into the extent that
filmmakers/content providers can maximize
monetization of their projects. The process of choosing scripts
that have a chance in the marketplace. How your audience can
give you their maximum monetary support at different levels of
involvement prior and following the release of your project. It is
suggested that this workshop precede the other 3 workshops
in the series.
2. Using the Film Festival and Film Market to Solve Your Project Funding Needs.
This funding workshop shows how a film festival and/or film market is
used to get the money needed to fund your projects budget. What
to do before, during and after the festival/market.
Basically filmmakers attend film festivals/markets not to watch films
and party but to fund, license and promote their projects. The
workshop covers how to preplan your every minute well in advance
of your arrival at the festival/market, including checklists, contracts,
and what is needed during meetings. The earlier this process can
begin in the life of a film project the better the end results of funding
and success of your project.
3. Distribution: The traditional options of distribution
also the new opportunities made available by the digital
technologies.
Traditional
Theatrical such as: public movie theater, hired
theater and private premieres & four walling.
Non theatrical, such as; college showings, cinema
clubs, museums etc.
Other: Home video, Pay-per-view, Pay television, Satellite, Cable
television, Free television, Closed circuit: Limited exposure in hotels, airplanes, trains and cruise ships.
Digital technology
Now you can add the new emerging digital choices: Videophones, 3G, 4G phones, Gamepads, PDAs, portable media players, Online viewing, PC and TV IP (Internet Protocol) Channels

4.The Role of the Filmmaker (producer). Will cover the many aspects/tasks that
a filmmaker needs to do and is legally responsible
for in the life of the film project.
Get the project, put the package together, pre
sales, seek funding, hiring -- During shoot; 1. watch crew, 2. watch
equipment, 3. monitor how the plan is going, 4. EKP (electronic press
kit) shot, -- During Post; 1. get film cut, 2. arrange color correction if
needed, look at film after one week edit, and the final cut. Following
production; Do the PFD (production/financing/distribution) contract
with rating. Sell and market the Film
